Standard Addressed:
3rd Grade Science
Students will classify living and nonliving things in an environment

Educational Technology Standard Addressed:
Standard 7
Use telecommunications and on-line resources (e.g., email, online discussions, web environments) to participate in collaborative problem-solving activities to develop solutions or products for audiences inside and outside the classroom

I used this tool because it is a fun interactive way for children to learn about living and nonliving things, and it was easy to just upload the image I wanted and add little tags to parts of the picture I wanted to highlight.

Tiki Toki - Colonization of North America

Standard Addressed:
5th Grade Social Studies
Students will understand how the exploration and colonization of North America transformed human history.

Educational Technology Standard Addressed:
Standard 5
Use technology tools (e.g., multimedia authoring, presentation, web tools, digital cameras, scanners) for individual and collaborative writing, communication, and publishing activities to create knowledge products for audiences inside and outside the classroom

I used this tool because it is an effective way of showing events in history, without being TOO boring. It is a really fun way for students to see events on a time line, they can zoom back and forth between events if they choose, I think that would be more exciting for kids then just a print out.

I used Pinterest to organize some fun teaching ideas that I can go back and utilize whenever I need or want to! Not only is it helpful for me, but it also a way to share ideas with others!
